Frequently Asked Questions on How To Become a Rescue Family
No, we never charge the families that want to rescue a baby or the woman or girls that need help.
Out of 843 rescues to date, we’ve had approximately 2 instances or so where that has been the case, one of which changed her mind because she was told she wouldn’t be able to have another child. We really screen the Birthmom’s to see if they want to keep their baby from the start. If they do, we help them make that a reality, and if not, we help set up an adoption with a family of their choosing.
The decision to give their baby up for adoption is entirely left to the Birthmom. This can be as quick as two days or take as long as twenty years. The more open you are to any sex, ethnicity, drug exposure, lack of prenatal care, etc, the more likely you are to get a call.
